Is your process
suitable for automation?
Eight questions, two minutes. At the end you get a score and a concrete recommendation — including when the answer is “not yet”.
1
How often do you run this process?
2
Can it be described in five sentences?
3
Where is the data it works on?
4
How many people run it?
5
What happens if somebody forgets about it?
6
How much time a week does it take the team?
7
Can anyone make decisions about this process?
8
Does the process change often?
How to read your score
Four bands,
four recommendations.
18–24 points — the process is ready
Clear rules, digital data, high repeatability. The implementation will most likely pay back within the first six months.
12–17 points — almost ready
It can be automated, but a few rules need pinning down first. That is usually one workshop, not a month of work.
6–11 points — describe the process first
Automating it would cement today’s mess. Start by deciding what the process should look like.
0–5 points — not yet
Too infrequent, too variable or too dependent on human judgement. Look for another process.
Next step
The score is a starting point,
not a diagnosis.
In a free consultation we will go through your process in detail. If it turns out not to be worth it, we will say so plainly.
